These terms explain the responsibilities that apply when creating a character, approving a proof, or ordering a personalized book.
MonstersNOW is operated by VNI Ventures LLC. These terms apply to the MonstersNOW website, creation tools, previews, proofs, purchases, support, and related services. By using the service, you agree to these terms and acknowledge our Privacy and Artwork Data Use Policy.
If you do not agree, do not upload material or use the creation and ordering features. Additional terms shown at checkout or for a particular feature also apply to that feature.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live, to submit material or place an order. The service is for adults creating or purchasing on behalf of a child; it is not directed to children for independent use.
You confirm that you are the child's parent or legal guardian, or that you otherwise have authority from the parent or guardian, and have permission to submit the child photo, artwork, names, appearance details, contact information, and delivery details used with the service. You are responsible for supervising any child who views or helps use the service.
You retain your rights in photos, drawings, names, and other material you submit. You grant MonstersNOW and the providers working for us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, reproduce, adapt, format, print, and deliver that material only as needed to provide the features you request, fulfill and support an order, protect the service, and meet legal obligations. This license ends when the material is deleted, except for copies we must retain for an active order, backups, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.
Public Gallery or marketing use requires separate affirmative permission. You are responsible for ensuring submitted material is original or that you have the right to use it. Other than the permitted one-time child reference photo, do not submit copyrighted characters, logos, photographs of other people, unlawful material, or private information.
MonstersNOW uses generative tools to interpret submitted material and create requested character and storybook assets. Generated results may be imperfect, may not precisely reproduce a person or drawing, and may resemble content created for someone else. We do not promise that generated output is unique or eligible for intellectual-property protection in every jurisdiction.
Colors and printed output can vary slightly between screens and physical books. Review the characters, names, spelling, and preview pages carefully before ordering; the complete book is created during production. Placing an order authorizes production of that version. We may review or adjust a file for safety, print readiness, or quality, but the adult remains responsible for approving personalized details.
Prices, taxes, and available shipping methods are shown before payment. Payment information is handled by our checkout provider. We may correct pricing or listing errors before an order enters production and will notify you if a material correction affects your order.
Personalized books are printed on demand after required proof and payment steps are complete. Once approved files enter production, an order generally cannot be changed or cancelled. Our Shipping, Returns, and Replacements Policy is part of these terms and explains delivery estimates, personalized-product returns, and damaged or incorrect books.
We may decline, cancel, or refund an order when required information is missing, payment cannot be verified, content violates these terms, safe production is not possible, or a product or fulfillment service is unavailable.
Never submit sexual, exploitative, abusive, threatening, or otherwise harmful content involving a child. Do not use the service to identify, harass, deceive, or endanger a child or any other person. MonstersNOW may block processing, remove material, suspend access, preserve evidence, or make a legally required report when content presents a safety or legal concern.
You also may not attempt unauthorized access; interfere with generation, ordering, or security systems; submit malware or deceptive files; scrape or reverse engineer protected portions of the service; impersonate another person; violate another person's privacy or intellectual-property rights; or use generated material for unlawful or harmful purposes.
The MonstersNOW name, logo, site design, software, templates, and non-customer content are owned by VNI Ventures LLC or its licensors. These terms do not transfer those rights or permit use of our branding outside the service.
If you believe material available through MonstersNOW infringes your rights, email hello@monstersnow.com with your contact information, the work or right at issue, the location of the material, and enough information for us to evaluate the request.
The service depends on third parties for functions such as AI processing, hosting, file storage, payment, email, printing, and delivery. Their systems and terms may affect those portions of the service. MonstersNOW is not responsible for an independent third-party site or service that you choose to use outside our directed ordering flow.
You agree that order confirmations, proof notices, receipts, policy notices, and support messages may be delivered electronically to the email address you provide. Marketing email is optional and includes an unsubscribe method.
Features, formats, prices, and availability may change. We may suspend a feature for security, maintenance, provider outages, safety review, or production limitations. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an "as available" basis and we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, a particular creative result, or that every upload can be transformed or printed.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, VNI Ventures LLC and its providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be limited. You remain responsible for the content you submit and for losses caused by your violation of these terms or another person's rights.
We may restrict or end access when reasonably necessary to protect children, customers, the service, or legal rights. Provisions that by their nature should continue after access ends—including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, and responsibility for prior conduct—will continue.
We may update these terms as the service changes. The updated date will appear above, and material changes will apply prospectively after they are posted or otherwise communicated. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. Failure to enforce a provision once is not a waiver of it.
